Our Story
The Bollywood Star International Film Festival is organized by two filmmakers. The festival aims to give fellow filmmakers from all over the world an opportunity to compete with each other and bring out the best ones.
To support Indian female directors, we have created the free-to-submit category "Films directed by Indian women"."



Rules, Terms and Conditions
Any film, series, trailer or screenplay submission means acceptance of the rules.
Any submission of a film screener, a series episode screener, a trailer screener or a screenplay file must be done only through FilmFreeway before the late deadline.
Any film, series episode, trailer or screenplay will be considered submitted after payment of submission fees.
Only one version of a film, trailer, series episode or screenplay will be considered.
All submitted screeners or files must be working and downloadable.
The festival is not legally liable for any lost and damaged submission.
Any password-protected screener or file must have the password available.
Any participant must have all the rights to submit film, series episode, trailer screenplay including, but not limited to intellectual property rights. The festival is not legally liable in this respect.
Any submitted film, series episode or trailer must be in English or subtitled in English.
Any submitted screenplay must be in English.
Not all submitted films, series episodes, trailers or screenplays will be selected for the program of the festival.
The festival will not refund entry fees and will not explain its decisions.
Any film, series episode or trailer showing real murders, containing pornographic scenes or content which may be considered extremist or otherwise unacceptable, will be disqualified without explanations and refund. The same rules apply to any submitted screenplay content.
Any participant must be ready that any submitted film, series episode, trailer or screenplay can be disqualified without explanations and refund.
Any selected film, series episode, trailer or screenplay can not be withdrawn.
Any participant gives the festival the right to show the submitted film, series episode or trailer and their parts for the festival's purposes. The same rule applies to publication of any submitted screenplay.
Any selected film, series episode or trailer can be awarded, so any selected participant must be ready to follow the festival's technical and other requirements for theatrical screening.
The failure to follow the requirements will lead to the cancellation of the screening, but will not lead to the cancellation of the award(s).
The festival will not pay screening fees.
Only films, series episodes and trailers awarded as the best shall be theatrically screened. No film, series episode or trailer will be theatrically screened more than once. If a film, series episode or trailer wins both best film or series episode award and crew and cast award(s), it will be theatrically screened once.
Every screening of a winning film, series episode or trailer shall be followed by receiving the award certificate(s) by the submitter or representative of the film, series episode or trailer during a small award ceremony.
The submitters or representatives of winning screenplays will receive the award certificates during the same ceremony.
The representative must be appointed by the submitter of a film, series episode, trailer or screenplay. The appointment letter must be sent to the festival by e-mail.
The transportation and accommodation expenses of the submitters, representatives and other festival participants will not be covered by the festival.
If the submitter or representative of the awarded film, series episode, trailer or screenplay is not able to receive the award certificate(s), the award ceremony will be canceled and the certificate(s) will be sent to the submitter by e-mail.
Submissions will not be returned.
The festival can change or correct the rules. The changes will be published by the festival.
